An independent downtown Glenview shop with a drive-thru, private-label roasted coffee, smoothies, and pastries. Family-owned, not a chain.
“The drive-thru alone makes Glenview Grind a Glenview essential, but the coffee holds up if you stop in. Private-label roasts, gourmet teas, and a bench out front that's the unofficial neighborhood meeting spot on weekend mornings.”
The drive-thru saves my mornings. Coffee is genuinely good, not just convenient.

Wonderful people in a small café! The avocado toast with thier homemade pesto is the best I've had around here. Perfect portion. Chunky monkey with a shot of espresso is my go too, but all thier drinks are so delicious! Thier baked goods and treats are always fresh!!! My go to whenever I have the time to stop!!!
My friend and I came in to work on some things, and we felt comfortable. We were thankful that we were able to snag a seat (although it wasn't too comfortable - no seat padding). I ordered a decaf black coffee and it was mediocre - not too great nor too bad. My friend ordered a hazelnut latte and she also had the same opinion as me...she thought charging 90 cents for a pump of hazelnut was a bit excessive since it didn't give much flavor to the drink. It's nice that there is a drive-thru, but it does take a while to place an order (if you come first thing in the morning - I'm not sure about later in the day).
IMO this place doesn’t focus on good coffee & should rename to focus on smoothies and sandwiches. The menu of “candy coffees” looks intriguing. We ordered an Americano, a latte and a scone to eat in. My Americano was just meh when hot, and undrinkable when cool. The coffees took forever to come out, as the baristas were practicing their latte art. I saw them put syrup and whipped cream on top, and asked the barista about it. She replied “no. It’s just the foam.” Brought it outside and it was definitely sweetened. So my husband had to go in and order again, and this time also took an unexpectedly long time. The scone was dry. Outside is bedlam—road construction, Metra, car alarms.
Very very cute shop. Very chill atmosphere. Good music. Suuuper friendly staff!! We got the avocado toast that is made with maybe the BEST nut-free pesto I have ever had. Toast was crispy and everything tasted very fresh. Also got a warmed cheese Danish and chocolate chip muffin. Both were so satisfying and not intensely sweet. We also got 2 of the specialty drinks, 24 oz blended, thrilla vanilla latte and caramel fantasia. Both drinks were absolutely refreshing and phenomenal. Local. Independent and family owned. They are definitely doing something (well a lot of things lol) right!! Check them out!!!
This coffee shop has a very warm and friendly vibe. The cashier/ owner was so friendly. She asked customers' names and then call them by their name afterwards. The are selling jam, honey, coffee beans, tea and t-shirts. The coffee was good but not great and the scone was fresh and tasty. There was a printer to use, parking seems not an issue which makes this place a great spot to work and study. Overall: RECOMMENDED!
