A neighborhood staple in Bridgeport with a living-room feel, local art on the walls, and a loyal community of regulars.
“Bridgeport Coffeehouse feels like someone's cool aunt's living room. Mismatched furniture, local art everywhere, and a crowd that ranges from artists to retirees to WFH folks. The coffee is good, the pastries are great, and the vibe is unmatched.”
This place has soul. I moved out of Bridgeport and still come back here for the vibes.
Great for reading or writing. Never too loud, never too empty. The chai is excellent.
They host local art shows and open mic nights. Really embedded in the community.

This Danish was filled with Nutella (I think) it was so frickin good omg. I got a iced chai latte, they accidentally gave me oat milk, which I actually like better, so I'm happy. The team behind the counter was so nice and efficient. Super cute interior. Would definitely recommend!
I loooove the espresso here: it's some of my favorite in Chicago! (shout-out to AJ who was so sweet and amazing and gave me this free latte that was DELICIOUS (and happened to be EXACTLY how I like it)), I would highly recommend coming here if you're looking for simple yet great coffee drinks, but their food is also amazing and would HIGHLY recommend the chicken salad sandwich with giardiniera. I don't even live here but I come down here just for this place :)
This place is awesome. I love the seating area and the bright service. They have tons of different retail coffees—all with unique flavors/names/package art. I felt cared for and grateful! A solid mix of teas too 🙌🏻
I’ve been coming here for a year or 2 and never have a problem, the breakfast bagels are so bomb and very filling! The baristas super nice but today I came in for my usual order and the drinks were a bit off:( I asked if I can add milk to my drink since it was really bitter and get caramel in the coffee since it was just bland and mostly milk but even then it wasn’t good, after I asked if I can get a matcha instead and apologized bc I’ve never had a problem but the barista that made it seemed to have a bit of an attitude anyways she made the drink for me and the matcha was just not good I tried to get myself to drink it but I had to go back inside to return it:( like I said I’ve never had a problem and I hate being that person to return drinks/food but today wasn’t it
I have been going here for more than 8 years and this will be my last time today. I ordered my usual large Mocha and he rang up 2 and I did not notice it at the cashier. When I get my order at the bar, I was confused that why there were 2. The cashier came and screamed at me and told me he heard 2 and gave me an attitude on that. I don't but coffee out often and I always try keep my purchase at the local store 1st. I am going to Bad Owl from now on. The service sucks here! I ended up just throwing away the extra one I had.
