A warm, welcoming cafe in downtown Evanston popular with Northwestern students for its generous space and reliable coffee.
“Colectivo Evanston is the quintessential college-town cafe. Plenty of tables, fast wifi, and a menu that goes beyond just coffee — their bakery items are baked in-house and genuinely good. Perfect for a long study session or catching up with friends.”
Best study spot near Northwestern. I basically lived here during finals week.
The berry scone is incredible. Coffee is consistent — nothing groundbreaking but always solid.

While traveling Chicago , stopped by to get breakfast since we staying a close Hilton. Jason was really helpful to explain the breakfast menu items. He been super nice and attentive. We had peanut butter cold brew coffee. And for breakfast we had egg& goat cheese sandwich. Never seen still and sparkling water tap in any coffee before. That’s so cool. Love that. And the zebra figured water cups. Highly recommend here if you are in the neighborhood even if you are not just make a visit here. You will not be disappointed.
Stopped by Colectivo after a walk, and it was the perfect place to warm up with a hot tea. They have a solid variety to choose from, and the drink came out fresh, hot, and exactly the way I wanted. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with plenty of space to relax for a few minutes before heading back out. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the place felt clean and well taken care of. It’s a simple stop, but exactly what you want when you’re looking for something warm and relaxing after being outside. Definitely a comfortable spot to take a break and enjoy a good drink.
This is a charming coffee shop filled with life and character! This cafe gets pretty packed, mainly consisting of students. There is lots of greenery, ambient lighting, and cute decorations. There are a plethora of drink and pastry options with lots of seasonal items as well. I tried the pumpkin spice fluff latte, which was deliciously rich and creamy. If you’re good at studying while surrounded by lots of people, this will be the place for you!
The environment and hospitality is wonderful. Great meeting, sitting and chatting locations for youth and adults. Great food offerings.
Charming Spot for a Casual Breakfast Stopped by this cozy little café for breakfast with my family. It’s a cute, typical neighborhood spot with outdoor seating that made for a pleasant start to the day. I’d been curious to try their honey latte after seeing rave reviews online—while it was smooth and enjoyable, it tasted pretty much like a regular latte to me. Still good, just not the standout I was expecting. I also had the croissant sandwich, which was tasty but smaller than I anticipated. The real highlight for me was the sparkling water on tap—such a thoughtful touch, and you can help yourself as much as you like with your order. Overall, it’s a decent café with a relaxed vibe. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice place to sit and enjoy a quiet morning.
