A spacious roastery and cafe in Fulton Market with industrial charm and exceptional single-origin pour-overs.
“Metric is the real deal for coffee nerds. The space is huge and airy with exposed brick and concrete floors. Their rotating single-origins are always interesting, and the baristas actually know their stuff. Not the coziest spot, but the quality speaks for itself.”
The cortado here is perfect every time. I come at least three times a week.
Great space for working in the morning before it gets crowded around noon. The pastries from their partner bakery are solid too.
Parking is tough in Fulton Market but worth the trip. Their Ethiopian beans are incredible.

Bro. Yeah, the cappuccino and espresso tonic I got were awesome. You already know that if you read any other review though. Let me put you on tho: Buckwheat. Biscuit. $2 a pop and absolutely wonderful. If you ain’t buckwheating with your hot bean water, then miss me fam (I also got the cappuccino and espresso tonic - both were great)
Likely the best coffee I’ve had in the city, ever. Proper shop. I get their cappuccino, so simple and perfect. Do not sleep on the pain au chocolat. Comparably just as good if not better than what you’ll find in France. The salty on top is such a nice finish. Chefs kiss.
One of the best (if not the best coffee roast) in Chicago. Quick on the pour over with the new automatic machine they have. Drip is spectacular with a good selection of various origins.
stopped here right as they were opening before we got back on the road and it was a beauty for sure. the decor, the vibe, the slow peaceful aesthetic it gave, very calming. service great, coffee great, decent variety on pastries. definitely a wonderful spot.
Small cozy cafe. Very interesting Menu. Tried the lemon matcha, it was refreshing. Patio seating cute and quiet.
